The first ever Bournemouth Folk festival was this weekend and there was be a big turn out and lots of people to support the folk music in Bournemouth at the B.I.C. The Quayside Cloggies were joined by Bourne BUmpers and noymous Morris, a young group of Morris dancers aged 18-25. Each of the three sides took turns to entertain the audience and dance some of our favourites that are real crowd pleasers. The Quayside Cloggies danced; 
Colne Royal Capston Blues and Pinks St Augustine Old Jamaica The Rose Although an icy wind blew in from Bournemouth shoreline to the B.I.C. where the Quayside Cloggies danced on the Tregonwell Terrace, the audience gave superb support and clapped loudly. Some of the Bournemouth Folk Festival organisers had a short lesson before taking part in an Anoymous Morris dance, which received huge applause, and a few laughs! It was a wonderful introduction to Bournemouth Folk Festival and we hope to be invited back again.
The Winter practise season 
The Quayside Cloggies and the band have been dancing, rehearsing and we have lots of new members who have made a fabulous contribution to the dancing and added even more energy and fun to Monday practise nights! We are preparing for a wonderful season ahead starting with the first ever Bournemouth Festival on Saturday 12th March. Swanage Folk Festival - Saturday 11th September 2010Swanage Folk Festival was a fabulous weekend and all of the Quayside Cloggies and musicians turned out to entertain the crowds. It was a wonderful weekend of music, dancing and meeting new people. Thank you to everyone who supported us!
St Peter's Finger pub - Monday 28th August As the summer evenings begin to draw to a close, it was wonderful to meet with the Dortset Buttons again at St Peter's finger to celebrate a wonderful summer of dancing, music and meeting new people. 
Thank you to all of the musicians who performed, to all of the dancers who roused the audicence and also to our wonderful mini band of children who played the percussion beautifully!The Fourways - 18th August 2010Thank you to the Fourways for welcoming the band for a superb evening of music. The audience offered up rousing applause as the band played a rousing melody of traditional folk tunes.The Courtyard, Lychett Minster - 16th August 2010The Courtyard is a lovely backdrop for the Quayside Cloggies and their musicians and today was no exception. The public mingled amongst the shops and craft places as the musicians filled the air with folk music and the Quayside Cloggie dancers performed 'Blues and Pinks', 'The Rose', 'Colne Royal' and lots of our traditional North west clog-morris dances.The Two Cedars Rest Home - 14th August The band performed at private event for the Two Cedars Rest Home and the audience were thrilled with their wonderful performances. Thank you for welcoming us along and for supporting our nominated charity.Durley Chine, Bournemouth - 11th August We were dancing with the Dorset Buttons today who hosted the event and there was a super turn-out from the public who donated to our nominated charity 'The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance'.Thank you to the Durley Chine restaurant and pub for the warm welcome and to all of our supporters. Well done to the Dorset Buttons for hosting another smashng event!The Malvern Day Centre - 5th August 2010When the Quayside Cloggies and the band entertained the residents of the day centre, a lovely day was had by all, dancers, musicians and residents of the Malvern Day Centre. May we take this opportunity to commend all of the staff for their warm welcome and tremendous hard work. We would also like to thank the residents for their superb participation! The Hobos joined the Quayside Cloggies for a rip-roaring evening! As the sun set, the musicians struck up the first note and the Hobos performed a dazzling set. The Quayside Cloggies would like to say thank you to Bourne Bumpers for joining us at The Dorset Soldier pub who very kindly hosted the event on a warm and balmy summer's evening.The musicians were on fine form and played a fantastic set as the Quayside Cloggies and The Bourne Bumper dancers took turns to dance. We would also like to say thak you to the crowd who gathered to donate money to our charity, The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. Holidaymakers were pleasantly surprised by the colourful arrival of The Quayside Cloggies on Saturday afternoon, however even the overcast weather did not dampen everyone's spirits. A cheerful crowd gathered to clap and jig along as The Quayside Cloggies danced to the music of the band, who were pitch perfect creating a wonderful atmosphere around the park.Many owners and visitors filmed and photographed the Quayside Cloggies and you can see some of those moments captured in our photo gallery. If you visit 'News and Events', you can see where to find us next!Kingston Lacey House Saturday 10th AprilKingston Lacey is a wonderful backdrop for the Quayside Cloggies and there was a wonderful atmosphere as families gathered in the courtyard to watch the Quayside Cloggies dance. The band were on fine form and kept a wonderful rhythmn to the sound of each wooden clog on the courtyard stone. A small group of children played the Quayside Cloggies instruments and added a wonderful percussion accompaniment to each of the dances.The sun was shining and the temperatures increased to around sixteen degrees as the dancers performed some traditional dances including; Lostock, Coln Royal and Pines Express.The dancers also collected for our nominated charity, 'The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and all donations, from the spectators who supported us, was greatly received.
